Acupuncture Appointments
Every person is different, every body is different, and therefore so is every appointment.
Acupuncture works best when tailored to your needs. Whether it’s your first session or a follow-up, I take time to listen closely, understand your story, and offer thoughtful, whole-person care. If you have any questions feel free to email me.
I look forward to meeting you.
What happens during an acupuncture appointment
-
✺
Each session begins with a consultation where we’ll discuss your health, emotions, lifestyle, and anything else you’d like to bring into the space.
-
✺
Acupuncture is gentle and tailored to you I’ll create a treatment plan + explain where the needles will go. They’re left in place while you rest.
-
✺
Appointments may include supportive techniques like moxibustion, guasha, cupping or auriculotherapy depending on your needs that day.
-
✺
Whether you're looking for immediate relief or long-term support. Acupuncture honours the whole person, not just symptoms.
-
✺
There’s always time to ask questions. We finish with time to reflect, discuss aftercare or lifestyle advice, and plan next steps for your treatment plan.
-
✺
You’re in safe hands here, this is a welcoming, inclusive space where whatever you're facing is met with care, attention, and empathy.

✺ Appointment FAQs ✺
-
Each appointment is 60 mins.
First appointment
I will need to take a full medical history and mobility/pain review so your first appointment will be a longer consultation and shorter treatment.

Appointments consist of a 15 minute consultation followed by a longer treatment. -
Acupuncture is generally safe and suitable for most people seeking support for a variety of health concerns. However, there are some situations where it may not be recommended or requires extra caution. For example, people who are very unwell, have certain blood disorders, or are at specific stages of pregnancy should discuss their situation before booking a session.
Your safety and wellbeing are my priority, so I always conduct a thorough assessment to ensure acupuncture is appropriate for you.
-
You don’t need to bring any medication with you but please do list all prescribed medication and supplements on your in-take forms. The results of any recent medical tests may also be helpful.
-
During your first appointment, I’ll ask about your health history, lifestyle, and any current concerns.
I will ask about your sleep, how your digestion is, how often you exercise, how your mental health is and if you are on a medication.
If you are undergoing any medical treatment I may ask you about your family medical history, and any relevant information about your primary care plan.
These questions may be repeated during each consultation so we can monitor your progress.
I’ll also discuss your wellbeing goals and what you hope to get from acupuncture. This helps me create a personalised plan for your care.
You’re welcome to take notes or ask questions at any time - there’s no rush, and everything is confidential.
